- B.S. in Education from the University of Maine, Orono
My strengths as a climber are the ice and mountaineering disciplines,
though I welcome the weather and minimal equipment that often accompany
rock climbing. Long Routes of an alpine nature are what I pursue.
Climbing is a thread that runs through many aspects of my life,
personal and professional. For me, good days out in the mountains,
working or playing, are difficult to beat.
Guiding, I make a point to set clients up for success. Many individuals
have said I've made challenging climbs far more accessible
than they ever imagined. There are many techniques that can make
your
climbing and objectives more enjoyable and attainable. Helping
you realize your potential as a climber, and working to manage
the challenges that present themselves during a day out, are
what keep me energized as a guide and teacher.
I am currently working toward full UIAGM/IFMGA Certification.
